Are you looking for a cute way to hold your Halloween candy this year? Do you like to reuse items? Well, you’re in luck! Hi! This is Leslie from Pink Stripey Socks. My preschool son and I just adore Halloween. Love, love, love it! So today’s post is a DIY Halloween themed one. I’m going to show you an easy way to transform some old sand toys into cute treat containers!
Here are the materials that you’ll need:
- Duct Tape
- Craft Knife
- Sand Bucket
- Cutting Mat
Let’s make ourselves some Halloween buckets!
Sketch out your designs for your bucket. (As you can tell from the photo, my 4-year-old was heavily involved in the process. He wanted something scary with teeth, and I wanted a happy face. Good thing we have two buckets.)
Now it’s time to transfer your pattern pieces to duct tape. Cut off a piece of duct tape. Stick it to your cutting mat. Then, use your craft knife to trace around your pattern pieces.
These containers are great for handing out candy to the kids. Or, take them out trick-or-treating and show off your designs! Once you’re done, simply peel off your designs and your buckets are once again ready for next summer’s beach adventures.
