I’m going to be honest – when I first heard that black home decor was a “thing,” I couldn’t believe it. Who would paint their walls black? That was insane to me! As far as I was concerned, predominately black decor is reserved for Elvira’s home or someone that really loves Halloween. It’s not for “normal” people.
I was wrong my friends – oh so wrong. Black home decor is upscale and adds a refined, sophisticated feel to a room. When used correctly, it speaks of someone intentional with their home decor as opposed to someone who just lets it happen. Black never goes out of style, and the word on the street is that it can help you sleep better and/or even make a room look bigger (counterintuitive, right?)
