I have this spot in my kitchen where we pile EVERYTHING – mail, magazines, half-eaten kid snacks, receipts, sunglasses. Do you have one of these spots!? Well, it has been driving me crrrrrazy, so I decided to incorporate a storage solution to clean it up. I saw a blank crate on clearance at the store and immediately had a plan for this DIY Ombre Heart Crate, where I could throw (and hide) all our junk. It is super easy to make and my kitchen looks soooo much better! Here is how I did it.
DIY Ombre Heart Crate
- Wood crate
- Craft paint (white, light gray, dark gray)
- Stencil brush
Step 1: Mix your paints into four shades.
Step 2: Line up and secure your stencil on the crate.
Step 3: Apply the lightest shade of paint.
Step 4: Let dry and remove the stencil.
Repeat with the next color . . .
and the next . . .
and the next!
This is such a fun way to spruce up a simple box for some darling storage! Now be sure to visit us as we blog about style, food, and the things we love over at the Pretty Life Girls! You can also find us on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter!
