Peace Christmas Sign for a Pretty Holiday Display

This peace Christmas sign uses some of my favorite craft supplies – scrabble tiles, glitters, and the peace symbol. It’s the perfect holiday display!

Skills Required: Beginner. You will be painting stripes and then adding glitter over the top. It should be a very manageable project with a little experience.

I’m in love with gorgeous glitters this holiday season! I love all the shades of Extreme Glitter – although it depends on which project I look at which ones I like best. It’s constantly changing!

Red and green glitter are perfect for Christmas decorations, so I decided to use them this year to make a project to hang in my front entryway. Here’s what I came up with.

One thing I really love about this Christmas sign is the peace symbol. This symbol continues to be all over everything this holiday season . . .

This Scrabble tile project is an homage to both glitter and the peace symbol! And – of course – my favorite holiday: Christmas. Here’s how to make it.

2. Tape off 1/2″ stripes using the painter’s tape. Space as evenly as possible (as you can see, mine were only so exact).

3. Paint stripes Kelly Green. Remove the painter’s tape and allow to dry.

4. This is the great part about Extreme Glitter – it goes directly over a similar FolkArt color and really “blings.” Paint the Emerald glitter over the Kelly Green and allow to dry. Then do the same with Peridot glitter over the Fresh Foliage.

5. You’ll paint the wooden peace symbol with Calico Red and then Red Extreme Glitter. Allow to dry.

6. Glue the peace sign and Scrabble letters to the plaque as shown. Hang your peace Christmas sign with ribbon to finish.
