Make your kids’ holiday morning special with these owl Halloween pancakes. These are easy to make – you don’t need to be a chef to do them!
When it comes to the holidays, I like to go all out. Or at least, I like to go out as much as possible with the supplies I have and the time I have.
I know that some of you can relate! SO I’m going to make “going all out” really easy for you with these witchy owl Halloween pancakes. Your children will be so impressed with your creativity and holiday handiness.
Now, I should note that these Halloween pancakes pictured are just a suggestion in terms of the level to which you take your own breakfast creations. Maybe you just want to do the owl base.
Maybe you want to add the pumpkin trick or treat container . . . maybe you want to add the hat. Your witchy owl pancakes should work for you is what I’m saying.
Easy Halloween Pancakes
Ingredients
For the pancakes:
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
For the owl:
- One banana
- 2 blueberries
- 1 green apple
- 1 cheese single
- 1 Halo orange
- 1 pretzel rod
- sliced almonds
- plum or raisins
Directions
- My mom always made pancakes with Bisquick so it’s the way I make them now! Heat a skillet with cooking spray and while you’re waiting, stir all the pancake ingredients until blended.
- For each owl you’ll make one large 5-inch round pancake. You might want to consider a pancake dispenser if you like perfection!
- Cook pancakes until the edges are dry. Flip and cook until golden. Remove from the grill and place on a plate.
- Peel a banana and slice about 1 inch off one end. Then cut two slices to make the eyes. Place two blueberries on top for the pupils.
- Peel a small orange (save the skin) and pull apart in half. Use one half for the trick or treat pail . . . cut wedges from the other half to make the feet and beak. You can also use a slice for part of the hat.
- Cut a pail handle from the rind as well as a little jack o’ lantern face. You can use a knife but I find that kitchen scissors work best for me.
- Use a plum and plum pieces OR raisins for the hat.
- Cut an apple into sections (I love my apple slicer) and use two for the wings.
- Add some cuts to a portion of cheese slice and wrap around the pretzel to make the broom. You can also create a moon out of part of the cheese slice.
- Serve!
Those are bat gummies near the moon. But I won’t make you do that. That’s only if you have bat gummies laying around (who doesn’t?).
