This simple monkey bread recipe is perfect for a quick breakfast or even dessert. We themed ours for Halloween. The whole family will love it!

Easy Halloween monkey bread

With less than a week until Halloween, I feel like it’s time to do my friends reading this a solid. I’m going to show you how to make a simple and tasty treat just for the holiday! We’ve made peanut butter monkey bread and apple cinnamon roll monkey bread, and it was time to try something new.

That means the monkey bread is black with Halloween colored icing, and that also means something even more important: this monkey bread recipe looks like you tried really hard.

But it’s so simple to make that you won’t have to try hard at all.

Canned biscuits are your dough, which makes it nice – you won’t be doing anything from scratch.

Serve this easy monkey bread to the family on Halloween morning, or maybe as a dessert the night before (since they’ll be getting so much candy the night of).

It’s really delicious. And if you are so inclined, the kids can help make it. Enjoy the recipe below!

  • 2 cans large refrigerated biscuits

  • 1 cup brown sugar

Ingredients

  • 16 large refrigerated biscuits (2 cans)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 15 drops black gel food coloring
  • 6 oz Wilton Candy Melts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Grease a bundt pan or casserole dish with non stick cooking spray or butter and flour. It’s important that you grease the pan well so the monkey bread does not stick.Greasing-a-bundt-pan-with-butter
  2. Add black food coloring to melted butter. It won’t be a perfect mix, but when you dip the biscuits in the butter, the food coloring will stick and make it black.adding black food coloring to biscuits
  3. Combine the sugars and cinnamon in a plastic bag. Cut biscuits into quarters. Dip biscuit pieces into butter, then into cinnamon sugar mixture. Shake bag to cover biscuits. Place into bundt pan.Biscuit pieces dipped in butter, cinnamon, and sugar in a bundt pan
  4. Layer all biscuits in bundt pan after you’ve dipped them in the butter/dye mixture and cinnamon/sugar mixture. Pour the rest of the dyed melted butter over the biscuits before placing in the oven.Black pieces of biscuit dipped in sugar in a bundt pan
