I recently shared my favorite matching Christmas pajamas, and I then I realized I was missing something big that I wanted to share with you. Something that is more important to me than just about anything: Christmas socks. Okay I’m exaggerating, but I seriously love colorful, patterned socks. I have a monthly “sockscription” at Woven Pear, for example. My friends are also well aware that with any outfit during the holiday season, I can pull up a pant leg and show them a fancy pair of Christmas socks that will . . . knock their socks off (ha!).
It can be hard to navigate the world of Christmas socks alone, so let me be your guide. You can go crazy and/or loud with your socks or wear something a bit more subtle. I do both depending on the situation. Here are some awesome picks!
Ultimate Guide to Christmas Socks
You may have seen this design in other colors – but now they make them in Christmas colors! “If you can read this bring me wine” socks are a perfect gift idea. Oh, did I mention I’m gifting these to myself?
This DIY ugly sweater socks kit is genius. You get a ton of embellishments and some fabric glue to make them your own. You can be I’ll be gluing that faux fur all over the place!
Llamas are hugely popular this year – and I’m completely on board. These cozy llama casual socks are all wrapped up in lights. So cute!
Speaking of Christmas favorites, these pug socks are already in my dresser drawer. Actually I have multiple dresser drawers dedicated to just socks. Does that mean I have a problem?
Here are some other socks for dog lovers – the dachshunds socks – and then I’ve also added some Christmas tree hat cat socks so that I’m fair to both sides of the domestic animal fence. Honestly I’d wear ALL the animal socks. No preference here!
I found these alien who stole Christmas socks for the first time this year and I’m obsessed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Christmas socks like this before!
I’m a huge fan of fuzzy socks, and this is a collection of six fuzzy crew socks in holiday patterns. I think the Santa is my favorite pair but I’m also really loving the stripes. Either way, the price is right.
I think Steve Perry – and apparently Santa – said it best. Don’t Stop Believin’ or Believing – with these socks.
I don’t have these yeti socks yet, but that’s only because they haven’t arrived in my mailbox. These might be my new favorite socks of the season and I had to have them.
Also ordered – these jingle cats knee high socks. My sister-in-law is going to love them (she’s a cat connoisseur) and they look nice and warm. And colorful.
I have a pair of socks with dogs on them just like these (but no Santa hat) and they are a favorite pair. These snowflake socks come in Santa, fox, bunny, penguin, and polar bear versions.
Need a cocktail? Of course you do – you’re seeing family this Christmas! These Christmas cocktail socks are pretty awesome. Now I’m thirsty.
Woven Pear has a lot of awesome socks, but the ugly sweater and naughty or nice are two of my favorites. Woven Pear always puts designs or messages on the bottom of their socks too which is super fun!
Russian nesting dolls – aka matryoshka – are another favorite symbol of the holiday season. These nesting doll socks are right up my alley.
This 3-pack of winter crew socks is enough to turn my head just with the ears. I’ll pretty much wear anything with animals and/or ears. There are several pairs sitting in my Christmas sock collection right now.
Did you realize that Party City has socks? I didn’t either – until just this year. But be sure I loaded up on some socks given the prices they have. These Rudolph and smiling Santa anklets make me happy, and they are just over $1 a piece.
I’ve always loved snow globes (I used to have a collection of hundreds, but that’s another story) and I always will. I love that these snow globe socks in particular have a message on the bottom. Messages on the bottom of socks get extra bonus points in my book.
If you’re looking for a little bit of a different color scheme, grab these holiday tree socks (in men and women’s sizes). I have MANY pairs of Happy Socks in my collection and they hold up well!
Happy Socks also has gift boxes – of all different kinds – for men, women, and children. I think the pretzel socks in this set are hilarious and somehow actually DO remind me of Christmas?
Trees on cars are so popular – one of my favorite symbols of the holiday! These men’s trees on cars socks are so fun. And if you are a woman with a larger foot like me, you can fit in them too!
I love the bright colors of these gingerbread girl and boy socks. Their eyes are wide and open, but not to say “your feet stink!” It’s more an acknowledgement of the wonder of the holiday.
Last thing I wanted to share – a women’s winter 12 days of socks. I love that this set has a variety of sizes, from knee to crew to ankle. It’s also got a variety of colors and characters! One kit can cover you for the whole holiday season. Good news – they come in men’s too.
