Crispy Chicken Sandwich Recipe That Crunches So Good

There really is nothing like a crunchy, crispy chicken sandwich. I’ve always had a hard time finding the right homemade chicken sandwich recipe to achieve the almost perfect batter.

The outside of the chicken was either too mushy or the inside not cooked enough. This recipe is for a classic crust that will keep the meat moist and flavorful! It’s a healthy alternative to heading through the golden arches drive thru.

Homemade Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast, thawed
  • 1 cup of Italian Breadcrumbs or homemade
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Italian Dressing
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • Sandwich ingredients (optional)

Pat the thawed chicken breast with a paper towel to dry it out. In a medium bowl, combine the milk and Italian dressing. Soak the chicken for about a minute.

In a second bowl mix the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Sprinkle heavily on the meat, both sides.

Brush a little oil on the grill and preheat. Cook the chicken about 5 minutes on both sides or until the outside is lightly browned.
