Create the cutest little succulent planters ever using wooden candle holders from the craft store! A little paint and a few faux succulents is all you need.
One of my favorite ways to
waste pass time is to wander around at the craft store and brainstorm ideas of things I can make.
When I saw these unfinished wood geometric candle holders on my last visit, I knew I had to get them for a craft.
I added a little faux finish, metallic craft paint, and a fake succulent, and now they are the cutest little planters/paperweights, and I love them! Here is how I made these succulent planters . . .
Cute Succulent Planters
Supplies
- Geometric wood candle holders
- FolkArt Barnwood Painted Finishes
- Craft paint
- Faux succulents
Step 1: Apply FolkArt Barnwood Tint to candle holders. Let dry 4 hours.
Step 2: Apply FolkArt Barnwood Wax.
Step 3: Remove excess wax using a cloth. Let dry.
Step 4: Tape off and paint the bottom of the candle holders using metallic craft paint. Let dry.
Step 5: Add faux succulents.
Aren’t my succulent planters so cute? I love the combo of the geometric + rustic barnwood + chic metallic + greenery! Now, be sure to visit us as we blog about style, food, and the things we love over at the Pretty Life Girls!
