I have three words for you guys . . . Gold Glitter Dots. I know, I know, we’ve seen the gold dot trend everywhere lately, but when I saw sheets of glitter dot stickers at Target the other day, I knew I’d be able to put my own spin on them and create something awesome. This DIY glitter trinket dish and mini-canvas are two of my first creations, and I know they’ll be many more to come!
- Glitter Dot Stickers
- Gold Paint
- Mini Canvas
- Small Dish or Bowl
Step 1: If you can’t find the glitter dot stickers at your Target, don’t fret! You can easily find glitter cardstock at any craft store; just take a circle punch and punch out as many dots as you’d like! You’ll then need to use Mod Podge to affix them to your canvas and dish.
For my canvas, I wanted to add a bit more texture and interest, so, in addition to the glitter dots, I used a mini spouncer and gold paint to add gold circles onto the canvas.
Step 2: Let the paint dry, and add your glitter stickers. You want these to look very random, so don’t worry too much about even spacing, just have fun with them!
Step 3: And that’s it! So easy. Next, take the same dots and use them to decorate your bowl/trinket dish.
Step 4: I really love how this turned out . . . it’ll be perfect for corralling jewelry, but I can also see it holding paper clips on a desk, pins on a sewing desk, anything really!
The uses for these dots are endless. How would YOU use them? I’d love to know!
Thank you so much for letting me share with you today. You can find lots of other tutorials and inspiration on my blog, my facebook page, on instagram, pinterest or twitter! Have a lovely day!
