Make Easy LEGO Snow Globes for Kids

These DIY snow globes for kids are so fun! Use your LEGOs and don’t worry about spilling water . . . there isn’t any in this craft!

These DIY snow globes for kids are so fun! Use your LEGOs and don't worry about spilling water . . . there isn't any in this craft!Who loves decorating for the holidays? Hi! It’s Leslie from Pink Stripey Socks. I love peeking around stores for holiday décor inspiration. Lately tiny villages and snow globes have caught my eye. Instead of buying a snow globe this year, my son and I tried our hand at making our own.

Combining his love of Lego and my love of cheap and cheerful décor, we made three snow globes for kids with items we already owned. Intrigued? Read on!

Snow Globes for Kids

First, gather these materials:

  • Glass Jars
  • Green Pipe Cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Peel and Stick Foam
  • Chalk Markers
  • Air Dry Clay (Playdough would probably work too)
  • Salt (We used kosher)

Let’s Make some Lego Winter Snow Globes for Kids!

These DIY snow globes for kids are so fun! Use your LEGOs and don't worry about spilling water . . . there isn't any in this craft!Step 1:
Doodle a wintery scene on your glass jar with chalk markers. Let your doodles dry.

Every wintery scene needs a pine tree. So let’s make one! Simply cut several short pieces of green pipe cleaner. Twist shorter pieces around a longer piece (make sure your longer piece is shorter than your jar).

Then, trim your pipe cleaners to create a triangular tree shape. Stick on sparkly foam pieces for some added oomph.

Carefully drop your clay into the glass jar. Be careful not to smudge your chalk doodles. Then, pour in some “snow” (salt) for an extra wintery touch!
