Howdy! This is Leslie from Pink Stripey Socks. Every winter, I find myself cutting and taping up dozens of lacy, paper flakes all over our home.

Recently I’ve started designing snowflakes to look certain ways. I’ve cut out Lego Minifigure snowflakes and these cute snowmen snowflakes too!

And here’s the kicker – they’re easy to cut out. You don’t need any special tools. A pair of sharp scissors and good steady hands will do!

Materials

Scissors
• Computer Paper
• Pencil (with eraser)

Step 1Step 1: First, you’ll need to turn your rectangular sheet of computer paper into a square sheet of paper. Fold a corner up to a side. Press down.

Step 2Step 2: Fold the excess bit back and trim it off.

Step 3Step 3: Open up your sheet. You should now have a square piece of paper. Fold the paper in half. It should look like a rectangle.

Step 4Step 4: Fold the paper in half again. Now it should look like a little square.

Step 5Step 5: Fold the paper in half again. Now it should look like a little triangle (the middle of the paper is the triangle’s bottom corner). Sketch your words and numbers in with a pencil as shown below.
