Haven Conference with Delta Faucet

IMG_1044Have you ever been to a blogging conference? I’ve been to quite a few, each one being better than the one before in terms of people, product, and things learned. This year the Haven Conference was no exception! Steve and I attended together this year and were thrilled to represent Delta Faucet as their official correspondents. We’re excited to share everything we experienced. . . which we completely owe to Delta. They provided us with an amazing conference we’ll never be able to replicate!

product giveawayThursday night we were invited to a mixer co-hosted by Delta and Home Depot. We were picked up in a towncar at our condo – yes I said towncar! – and escorted to the mixer in style. As soon as we walked in, we got to learn about some of Delta’s Home Depot exclusive products:

You are probably reading that last item and thinking, “did she say nightlight toilet seat?” Why yes, I did!

IMG_1032This is the coolest toilet seat ever, and something you don’t really know you need until you are crawling to use the restroom in the middle of the night with no light. It’s perfect for littles and potty training, too!

But back to the party.

party and minglingThe room was hoppin’, with tons of food and drinks. Everyone was having a great time and it was wonderful connecting with bloggers I haven’t seen in a long time . . . and others I’ve never actually gotten to meet in person!

Corn holeThere were games – because everyone in the south loves cornhole. I didn’t know this until I moved to the south (and it’s not as easy as it looks, by the way).

Bags and cookiesAnd because Delta is a most generous sponsor . . . and Home Depot is too . . . they had amazing gift bags and cookies!

Hannah and AmyHannah (who represents Delta) and I decided to do our best “Vanna” impersonation. Would you like a gift bag?

speakersThe night ended with music, a few words from Whitney at Home Depot, and a drawing from Delta for their featured goodies. While I didn’t win anything that night, never fear – I’m going to have a review of their amazing products up on this site very soon. Once you go Delta, you never go back!

We were whisked back home last night and got plenty of night’s sleep for the next two days of the conference. You can see a complete schedule of the classes here, if you want to know what you can learn at Haven. I actually spoke both Friday and Saturday on “Harnessing the Power of Social Media.” It was SO fun!

Besides classes, we visited all of the sponsor booths to check them out. Here are some highlights.

rustoleum and plaidWe learned all about spray paint with Rust-oleum, and got samples of FolkArt Milk paint, FolkArt Dye, and FolkArt Home Decor Chalk at the Plaid booth.

DIYz and ScotchWe learned about a new app called DIYZ and hung out with MC Hammer at the Scotch Command Strip booth.

Cricut and Frog TapeWe made coloring pages with Cricut, which is completely AWESOME. I’m a huge adult coloring fan, and was so impressed that their machines could draw coloring pages! We also connected with our friends Allison and Katie at the Frog Tape booth. If you are looking for THE painter’s tape, it’s Frog Tape!

Dap and rocklerWe learned more about DAP products and watched a master lathe demonstration at the Rockler booth.

IMG_1023At the Kreg booth, we shared how DIY products make us feel.

IMG_1028We learned about color trends at the BEHR booth. Colors are my favorite. And trends. So I loved this board!

IMG_1065We got REALLY excited at the Buddy Rhodes booth when they showed us how to make these little concrete vessels. In a lot of colors and patterns.

IMG_0001 IMG_1049And if that weren’t enough, we made a Pokemon with Quikcrete, AND saw the Death Star! It was truly an amazing conference!

I wish I could say that was all we did, but there’s entirely too much to type. Thanks to Delta, our Haven Conference was one of our favorite blogging experiences to date! If you’d like to read more about others’ experiences at Haven, please go here.

A HUGE shoutout and “thank you” to Delta Faucets for treating us like royalty. We couldn’t have asked for more. Learn all about Delta and keep up with their latest products on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube!

Disclosure: We partnered with Delta Faucet to attend Haven Conference at be their official representative. All opinions are 100% mine!
