Make Holiday Gift Tags from Cute Tea Boxes

I love colorful product packaging–especially the seasonal teas from Trader Joe’s–I just can’t throw those pretty little boxes in the trash. So I decided to turn them into DIY gift tags instead!

Make Recycled Gift Tags

To make your own upcycled gift tags you’ll need:

  • A colorful tea box
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Circular paper punch
  • Trimmings (ric rac, pom poms, ribbon)
  • Glue

Start by cutting out the colored panels of your tea box.

Then cut them into different shapes for your recycled tags. I made rectangles out of the polar bear and narwhal, and tag shapes and round punches for the rest.

Then use some craft glue to add on your trimmings.

I love colorful product packaging - and I just can't throw those pretty little boxes in the trash. So I decided to turn them into DIY gift tags instead!

Now you’re ready to tag those Christmas gifts! And it’s a simple way to go green and save some money during the holidays.
