I love colorful product packaging–especially the seasonal teas from Trader Joe’s–I just can’t throw those pretty little boxes in the trash. So I decided to turn them into DIY gift tags instead!
Make Recycled Gift Tags
To make your own upcycled gift tags you’ll need:
- A colorful tea box
- Hole punch
- Circular paper punch
- Trimmings (ric rac, pom poms, ribbon)
Start by cutting out the colored panels of your tea box.
Then cut them into different shapes for your recycled tags. I made rectangles out of the polar bear and narwhal, and tag shapes and round punches for the rest.
Then use some craft glue to add on your trimmings.
Now you’re ready to tag those Christmas gifts! And it’s a simple way to go green and save some money during the holidays.
