Valentine Cupcake Toppers for a Cute Celebration

Hello to a new year! I still can’t believe it’s the start of another year. It seems like no so long ago that I completely cleaned and organized my house over Christmas vacation – it feels so good to start a new year with a clean house! It left me more time to get ready for my next favorite holiday . . . Valentine’s Day!

Honestly, my kids love Valentine’s Day more than I do, which is why I always try to make them something special each year.

This year, we are having our traditional family Valentine’s dinner, so I thought it would be fun to put a little treat on each place setting, with valentine cupcake toppers. It’s the little things, right?

Okay, it’s really just about the cupcakes. 😉

Cupcake Toppers for Valentine’s Day

To make these, all you need is:

• Free printable found HERE
• Scissors
• Adhesive – you can use adhesive dots, hot glue, or tape
• Paper straws or popsicle sticks

Normally I would advise you to print on thicker paper like cardstock, but in this case, you can use regular printer paper. Don’t go too thin, but you need the wraps to be able to bend easily. Plus these are just going to be torn off and not reused.

If all you have is a black and white printer, these would look adorable in black and white too! If you need a bunch of them, I recommend going to the copy store so that you don’t blow your ink cartridges!

Next, trim the stripe portion of the paper in 2″ strips. Take the strips and adhere them together making a circle. if your cupcakes are a bit shorter, you can trim some of the lines off.

Cut the geometric hearts with your scissors, and adhere them to your paper straws. Cut your paper straws to the desired length for your cupcakes. I usually cut mine at about 4″ in length.

Next, place your cupcakes inside the wrappers, and insert your valentine cupcake toppers. See! I told you it was easy!

Aren’t these valentine cupcake toppers such a great color palette for Valentine’s Day? I think my kids are going to gobble them up. Don’t worry, I will totally help. 😉
