Candy Cane Centerpiece

Make a candy cane vase that looks great on a Christmas dining table!

  • Using a hot glue gun, place a bead of glue onto the candy cane wrapper and hold onto the surface until cool. Repeat until the entire vase is covered.

  • Cut a length of ribbon. Tie around the center into a bow. If your vase is taller than your candy canes, glue a ribbon the width of the extra space around the top or bottom.
  • Fill with your favorite flowers or ornaments.

Notes

I used candy canes that were shrink wrapped with plastic, and the plastic was tightly secured. I didn't unwrap any candy canes.
Candy canes vary in size, even within the same box. Try to even them up either at the bottom or the top of the vase with a pair of scissors or a craft knife, but don’t worry too much about getting everything perfect. The end-result looks great even if they aren’t perfectly straight.
