Ingredients

  • String or embroidery thread
  • Candy - several bags

Instructions

  • Start with a very long piece of string, knotted several times at one end and a needle at the other.
  • Begin placing candy on the string in patterns or a random fashion.
  • For gumballs, pierce them with an awl first before stringing them onto a string. Work slowly and twist so you don’t break them.
  • Gummy candies can be easily pierced with a needle and strung.
  • Experiment with patterns and colors, or just make some garlands that are random! String the other end when done and hang.

Notes

I purchased my candy at the dollar store, for $1 a bag. If you're going to make garlands, buy candy as cheaply as possible (bulk is an option too).
