You’re going to love this simple and delicious chocolate pudding pie recipe. A creamy dessert perfect for any occasion, and easy to make!
Pie is a dessert that conjures up memories of grandma’s kitchen, where magic happened with just a few simple ingredients. Today, I’m going to take you down memory lane with one of grammy’s favorites, and mine too.
I’m sharing a recipe that’s not just a treat for your taste buds but also a delightful trip down nostalgia lane: the ever-so-delectable chocolate pudding pie.
This isn’t just any pudding pie; it’s a chocolate pie with chocolate pudding (that’s a lot of chocolate). It’s the dessert you bring out when you want to impress without the stress, a perfect blend of convenience and traditional flavor.
Imagine the silkiest, smoothest, chocolate pudding nestled in a crumbly, buttery pie crust, topped with a cloud of fluffy cool whip – it’s the stuff of dreams!
In fact, this little slice of heaven requires only four ingredients: instant chocolate pudding, a ready-made pie crust, milk, and cool whip. That’s it! No complicated procedures, no long list of ingredients.
We’re talking about a straightforward, jello chocolate pudding pie that comes together in a snap but tastes like a gourmet treat from a fancy bakery.
You can also customize it to a certain extent. Want to add a dash of coffee for a mocha twist? Go ahead! Thinking of sprinkling some chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips on top for an extra chocolatey experience? Why not!
This recipe is forgiving and flexible, giving you the freedom to experiment and add your own special touch.
It’s so easy that a kid can make it. This chocolate pudding pie is your ticket to a stress-free, delicious (quick) dessert that will have everyone asking for seconds.
Get ready to be crowned the dessert champion in your circle. Let’s dive into this easy, four-ingredient wonder and make some sweet memories! Here’s what you’re going to need:
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
- 7.8 ounces instant chocolate pudding and pie filling (2 boxes)
- 3 cups milk (oat milk or whole milk)
- 16-18 ounces Cool Whip (dairy free if vegan)
Optional Topping
- 1 chocolate bar (at least 1-2 ounces)
Tips and Thoughts for This Recipe
If making this vegan, be sure all ingredients are vegan. The brand “So Delicious” has a vegan cool whip found in the freezer section. Aldi’s ready to bake pie crust is vegan (or use your favorite brand/recipe). Choose your favorite vegan dark chocolate bar.
Do not refrigerate or freeze your chocolate bar before shaving.
Store this pie in an airtight container for up to two days in the fridge. You can freeze this pie, but it changes the texture slightly, so I recommend eating it fresh.
