Boozy Popsicles with Blueberry & Moscato

The other day I was lounging in my backyard on a sultry summer evening, with the day’s heat beginning to wane. I thought to myself, “What could make this moment even more perfect?”

The answer, my friends, lies in in two words: boozy popsicles. But we’re not just talking about any frozen concoction.

Enter the dynamic duo of Moscato wine and Kinky Blue liqueur, ready to add a splash of fun to your summer soirees.

And when it comes to flavors, we’re putting the spotlight on blueberry – because, let’s be honest, blueberry is the unsung hero of summer fruits.

It’s like that cool cousin who shows up at the family BBQ and suddenly, everything’s more fun.

But we’re not just throwing some fruit into a mold and calling it a day. Oh no, we’re upping the ante by crafting a homemade blueberry simple syrup.

This is the secret ingredient that elevates our popsicles from mere frozen treats to a symphony of flavor that dances on your tongue.

Why settle for a regular popsicle when you can have one that’s got a bit of a kick? These blueberry alcoholic popsicles are the perfect blend of sweet, tart, and a whisper of naughty.

They’re like your favorite summer cocktail and dessert, all rolled into one. So, grab your popsicle molds, and who knows?

You might just find yourself sneaking to the freezer for a midnight treat. But don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me. Now, let’s get freezing!

What really makes it for me is the blueberry, quite honestly. I LOVE blueberry. There are all kinds of simple syrup, but blueberry is my favorite – and this one is very easy to make! Here’s how to do it.

  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup moscato wine
  • 2 ounces Kinky Blue
  • 1 ounce of honey (optional)

You can also make the drink pictured by skipping the popsicle step and pouring it into a glass with ice.

Oh, these look absolutely delicious. Too bad we're just heading into winter in Australia. But as soon as blueberries are back in season I'm trying these out.

I think they would be perfect for a summer party as well. I need to stop dreaming, it's freezing :-(
