A spiderweb cookie pizza with Hershey’s Kisses spiders!
I’ve always been a fan of Halloween cookies, so this is one of my favorite desserts in general. Except a lot larger! This cookie feeds several people and is perfect for Halloween parties.
When you add the fun spiderweb and little Hershey’s kisses as the spiders, it’s perfectly spooky! It’s really simple to make . . . learn how to do it below.
Ingredients
- 1 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough, softened to room temp
- Vanilla frosting (2 cups confectioners’ sugar, 2 tablespoons butter, softened, 2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- Hershey’s Kisses – 6
- Purple string licorice
- White decorators gel
Tools
- Nonstick pizza pan – 12”
- Parchment paper
- Toothpick
Tips and Thoughts for This Recipe
When smoothing out the dough on the cookie sheet, you can patch the areas that you need to with dough – it will even out when you bake.
The frosting mixture should be a spreadable consistency; if it isn’t, add a touch of milk and keep stirring until it reaches desired consistency.
The trick to this dessert is not to eat the entire bag of Hershey’s Kisses while you are working! Trust me . . . this is a challenge.
Use a pizza cutter and a spatula to cut and serve your Halloween cookie pizza!
This dessert is so perfect for parties! After-school holiday events too. Everyone’s going to love it – trust me.

Halloween Cookie Pizza
Ingredients
Cookie Pizza
- 1 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 10 Hershey's Kisses
- Purple string licorice
- White decorators gel
Vanilla Frosting
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter softened to room temp
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Use a nonstick pizza pan, or spray your pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place a piece of parchment or wax paper down on your surface. Open the sugar cookie dough and start spreading with your hands. You want to spread the dough out into a circle that fits inside your pizza pan.
- When it gets large enough, transfer the dough to the pizza pan and continue spreading the dough out to the edges.
- Bake your cookie pizza according to the package instructions – approximately 12 – 14 minutes or until the edges are brown. Let cool for at least 20 minutes.
- While the cookie pizza is cooling, make the vanilla frosting. Place 2 cups of confectioners’ sugar in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons milk, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract to the sugar. Stir to combine.
- Use a knife to spread the frosting out onto the cookie, completely covering the cookie top.
- Immediately dot black decorators gel in the center of your cookie. Create circles around the center dot, working your way from the inside to the outside.
- Using a toothpick or BBQ skewer, drag through the icing from the center to the outside to create spiderwebs. Rotate the pan and keep repeating the dragging of the toothpick from the inside to the outside.
- Unwrap your Hershey's Kisses and place them randomly around the pizza.
- Dot “eyes” on the kisses with frosting to create spiders. Add legs by cutting purple or black licorice strings into strips and placing into the frosting near (or on top of) the kisses.
- Let the icing set. Cut into slices with a pizza cutter and serve.
