Are you ready for a really fun sweet Halloween treat that is easy to make? That both adults and kids will love? That will be a hit at your holiday party? I’ve got it for you: Halloween cookie pizza!

I recently partnered with my favorite sweet treat brand, Hershey’s, to bring you some no-bake mummy truffles and now it’s time to share my tried and true recipe that pleases party goers every single time:

A spiderweb cookie pizza with Hershey’s Kisses spiders!

I’ve always been a fan of frosted cookies, so this is one of my favorite desserts in general. When you add the fun spiderweb and little Hershey’s kisses as the spiders, it’s perfectly spooky! It’s really simple to make . . . learn how to do it below.

Halloween Dessert Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough, softened to room temp
  • Vanilla frosting (2 cups confectioners’ sugar, 2 tablespoons butter, softened, 2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract)
  • Hershey’s Kisses – 6
  • Purple string licorice
  • White decorators gel

Tools

  • Nonstick pizza pan – 12”
  • Parchment paper
  • Toothpick

Directions

Heat over to 350 degrees. Use a nonstick pizza pan, or spray your pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Pillsbury cookie dough in a pizza pan

Place a piece of parchment or wax paper down on your surface. Open the sugar cookie dough and start spreading with your hands. You want to spread the dough out into a circle that fits inside your pizza pan.

When it gets large enough, transfer the dough to the pizza pan and continue spreading the dough out to the edges. You can smooth it out and patch the areas that you need to with dough – the dough is going to even out when you bake.

Bake your cookie pizza according to the package instructions – approximately 12 – 14 minutes or until the edges are brown. Let cool for at least 20 minutes.

Make frosting from confectioner's sugar

While the cookie pizza is cooling, make the vanilla frosting.

Place 2 cups of confectioners’ sugar in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons milk, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract to the sugar. Stir to combine.

The mixture should be frosting consistency; if it isn’t, add a touch of milk and keep stirring until it reaches desired consistency.

Spreading out frosting with a knife

Use a knife to spread the frosting out onto the cookie, completely covering the cookie top.

Make a frosting spiderweb

Immediately dot black decorators gel in the center of your cookie. Create circles around the center dot, working your way from the inside to the outside.

Using a toothpick or BBQ skewer, drag through the icing from the center to the outside to create spiderwebs. Rotate the pan and keep repeating the dragging of the toothpick from the inside to the outside.

Bag of Hershey's kisses for fall

Grab your bag of Hershey’s Kisses. The trick here is not to eat the entire bag while you are working! Trust me . . . this is a challenge.

Spiders made of Hershey's kisses

Unwrap your Hershey’s Kisses and place them randomly around the Halloween cookie pizza.

Dot “eyes” on the Hershey’s Kisses to create spiders.

Add legs by cutting purple or black licorice strings into strips and placing into the frosting near (or on top of) the kisses.

Halloween dessert pizza with chocolate spiders

Use a pizza cutter and a spatula to cut and serve your Halloween cookie pizza!
