Adult Coloring Pages

Not so long ago I wrote a guide to free adult coloring pages, but that was a huge collection. There’s over 100 pages in that roundup, and if you just started coloring, it can be overwhelming! I wanted to narrow it down to some of my very favorite color pages – for a total of 15 – that I know you’ll love.

And the best part about these pages? They are absolutely free! You can simply click on the link below any that you like, go directly to the source, and print.

I'm a professional photographer with a BFA in fine art, and being able to just relax and enjoy drawing again without getting too technical has been such a joy. Recently, I've had some requests from people wanting their pets' portraits made into a coloring book-like outline that I would then have printed professionally before coloring it using colored pencils. I designed some outlines of portraits in Illustrator, but I'm having trouble tracking down a company that will print those outlines onto professionaldrawing paper with a large-format printer. I've seen outlines printed onto canvas that an artist then painted, but my preferred medium is colored pencils.

Do you have any tips for those who either want to have a free template, or one they made themselves, printed professionally? Even the paper quality used by Michael's for their coloring books would be perfect. The end goal would be a template printed onto large drawing paper (11"x15"+) that was then colored in and framed.

Thanks so much for your help! Your tutorials are always excellent, and I've learned a lot from them. :)

Hi Erin! That's cool that you are doing pet portraits as coloring pages! I asked a friend who is an architect and gets drawings professionally printed on nice paper. He said look for a blueprint printing place in your area. There's one called Diazo Printing here to show you what I'm talking about: http://www.atlantaplanroom.com/

He said it can get expensive though. So you might want to go to Kinkos and find out if they have any nicer paper there. Good luck! And thank you for the kind words :D
