You’ll love these 100+ free printable adult coloring pages! Get faves including all occasion, nature, quotes, holidays, and more.
Scroll down to the bottom of the post to get a video of something you can make with your coloring pages once they’re complete! It’s a fun craft idea so I’ll let you check it out.
I’m totally obsessed with adult coloring! And free adult coloring pages so that I can practice my craft.
Not so very long ago, I wrote a guide on how to do it – because let me be honest, as an adult I need to be told how to relax. In that guide, I also reviewed various coloring tools and which ones were my favorites.
I’ve been to each of these links personally and have either printed and colored them (or they are on my list). There’s a ton and it’s going to take me awhile to work through of them . . . but that’s what I love!
This list should keep you busy for, well, forever! Visit the links below to download your favorite free coloring pages.
What Paper Should I Use for Printing my Pages?
Standard printer paper is typically 20 – 40 lb. I like to use 60 or 80 lb. paper to print my pages (which is typically at most stores where you’d buy printer paper).
When the paper is a bit thicker, it makes the colors more vibrant. Standard printer paper is very thin!
The 60 or 80 lb. paper is also easier to use in crafts. If I know I’m going to Mod Podge the pages, I might even print them on white cardstock!
To give you an idea of what to expect, I found the Pentel Arts set of 24 colored pencils to be the best cheap colored pencils. You need to see my other picks though – there are some fun options!
Now onto the pages! NOTE: You don’t need to pay for any of these pages, however – you might need to sign up for some mailing lists depending on the blog (most are just straight download with no sign up).
There are plenty of options if you don’t feel comfortable signing up for a list, although you can unsubscribe after you get your page. If that doesn’t appeal, you’ll still find something you like I’m sure. You can also check Etsy for some paid, inexpensive options.
Enjoy your freebies!

If you're not ready to go "full mandala" but want to color something similar, this is a great knot and ring design that won't take too long to fill in.
I love the steampunk woman! She's got a cool dress and hat; don't forget the goggles. I can see using a lot of silver and other metallics on this design.
What I love about this design is you can fill in a few areas – or more areas – or all the areas! What I'm saying is that no matter how much white space you leave, this beautiful design is going to look great.
These pages aren't for everyone, but if you don't mind curse words, there are A LOT of pages here for you! And trust me, all the words are covered. Click the "View template" button on the top of each image to download.
I love swirls, and these florals are perfect! There are tons of opportunities to play with various shades of your pencils, and a rainbow theme looks great too.
For the beginning colorist, this free coloring page is the perfect place to start. It also looks great with watercolor markers, and you can make some pretty interesting backgrounds.
You'll get a ton of cat pages from this post! Some are more detailed with intricate areas to color in. Others are very simple and perfect for beginners.
The pages available at this post are from the magical coloring book Secret Garden! It contains pen-and-ink illustrations of flowers, insects, birds and small animals. All it needs to come to life is a bit of spare time and some pens or pencils.
If you love woodland animals, these deer pages are going to be your favorite! You'll want to print both. One is more of a regular coloring page and the other is zentangle inspired.
Sometimes we think that we have to do something extravagant, irrational or cRaZy to make life exciting. When, in fact, we can have by finding joy in the little things!
If you're a parent, this quote will definitely ring true. As Vanessa (who made the printable) says, "this parenting gig sure can be rough sometimes, we all need reminders!"

I am interested in the Nature/Fantasy themed Free coloring books. Do the free coloring books require a purchase? If the coloring books are indeed free, without any purchase, how do i go about getting them?
Hi Jan! I am not aware of entire free coloring books – this compilation is single pages alone. To reach each printable page, click on the link of the name and it will take you there. Then you can decide if you like enough to print! 😀
Hi, Thanks so much for letting me include this on my blog, I hope you got a chance to check out the contest! I really appreciate you sharing your fantastic article on Coloring 101 along with your collections of pages.
I would like to get the coloring pages but I would like to find color by number with bigger pictures. Is there any such thing. When. I relax I don’t want to make dEcisions as to what color to use..
Hi Debbie! So I didn’t find many good “color by number” pages for adults when I googled. If you are willing to spend a little money, here are some good color by number books for adults: https://amzn.to/38ipkIz
They have 40 – 50 designs per book which is a great value!
Loved all the information and advise, I haven’t downloaded any pages yet. My problem is I don’t know what kind of paper is best to use. I color mainly with gel pens( I liked the detailed mandalas)
Also my mom colors using mainly pencils. What paper would be best for each of these?
I use printer paper with “Colorlok” technology. I find there’s no bleeding and pencils go on smoothly. I still need to try more papers, and I’ll do my review . . . however, until then, use this guide to find that type of paper near you! https://www.colorlok.com/
Hi Amy,
I’ve just launched a website where I publish my printablemandalas and floral patterns (oriental style) daily to download as a way of promoting my forthcoming books. I aim at always having 14 free designs + 2 weekend mini-books available (it’s been 4 days now since I launched, so there are 4 colouring pages and 1 mini e-book now:) Each design is there for 14 days, and then I archive it while getting new ones instead, so a regular visitor won’t be bored or disappointed. Perhaps you would consider adding my sites: gumroad.com/dailymandala and to your list? Thank you very much for this great article in any case!
Thanks for this comprehensive list of coloring pages. I love how you categorized it to make it easy for people to find what they want.
I’ve created a free mandala coloring book with six mandalas for people to enjoy. It would probably go under the general/all occasion category, since the mandalas are abstract.
Each mandala has crisp, clean lines without any of the fuzziness that we so often see in free coloring pages.
Hi Sue! There’s no way to send them – but what you can do is go to a FedEx Kinkos and print them. It’s inexpensive when you are just doing black and white copies! 😀
Thanks for putting this list together. Free coloring pages are great – I think a lot of the coloring programs at hospitals, nursing homes, and community centers couldn’t exist without them. Some of the really high quality coloring books are just so expensive!
While free coloring pages are great and give a lot of people the opportunity to get back into coloring, it’s important to make sure the artists are getting credit for there work. I used to love going on Pinterest and finding thousands of free coloring pages until I realized that a lot of them were stolen. Generally, if the artist of the page is not cited, I’m skeptical that a website has permission to give away the page.
I know it’s tempting to download all the free pages you can, but if we don’t have some respect for the artists that create these beautiful works, what’s their incentive to keep making coloring pages?
