Tips for Making Delicious Cocktails

Making great cocktails is an art that combines creativity, technique, and attention to detail. Here are some tips to help you craft exceptional drinks.

Start with Quality Ingredients

Use high-quality spirits and fresh juices. The quality of your ingredients greatly influences the final taste of your cocktail.

Measure Precisely

Invest in a jigger or measuring tools to ensure accurate proportions. Consistency in measurements is key to achieving a balanced flavor profile.

Chill Your Glassware

Pre-chill your glassware in the freezer or fill them with ice while preparing the cocktail to keep your drinks cold and refreshing.

Taste as You Go

Don’t be afraid to taste your cocktail-in-progress. Adjust ingredients if needed to achieve the desired flavor. I mean you don’t need to be told to do this . . . right?

Strawberry simple syrup, watermelon, Svedka vodka, and Grey Goose vodka

Remember that making cocktails is both a science and an art, so don’t be afraid to get creative and have fun with your creations. Over time, you’ll develop your own summer cocktails!

Here’s what you’re going to need to make this alcoholic fruit smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Svedka Lemonade Strawberry Vodka
  • 1 ounce Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1/2 cup of watermelon with the seeds removed and cut into chunks
  • 1 ounce of strawberry simple syrup
  • 2 – 3 ice cubes, crushed
  • 1 Tablespoon of egg white whipped cream (optional)

Egg White Whipped Cream

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment add egg whites and beat until peaks form.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Spoon into a bowl and place into the refrigerator to chill.

Note: if you would like to use pasteurized egg, you can purchase egg whites at the store. It tends to create a rockier foam, but a lot of people can’t tell the difference.
