This Blue Curacao Margarita Cocktail is Beautiful

I’m a big fan of a delicious summer cocktail, especially one that’s pretty. There’s something about a beautiful drink that just makes it taste better going down – what do you think? This margarita cocktail fits the bill.

It’s got the margarita flavor that you’ll love with the yummy, subtle citrus flavor of the Blue Curaçao.

This blue curacao margarita could be the signature drink at your next party or wedding with a blue color palette. Yep, I just love themed cocktail recipes!

Doesn’t my blue curacao margarita look awesome? And I haven’t even mentioned the sugar/salt combination on the rim of the glass.

It goes along perfectly with your beverage because it’s salty and sweet at the same time, which is a nice twist on a traditional margarita. I love it!

Tips for Making Delicious Cocktails

Making great cocktails is an art that combines creativity, technique, and attention to detail. Here are some tips to help you craft exceptional drinks.

Start with Quality Ingredients

Use high-quality spirits and fresh juices. The quality of your ingredients greatly influences the final taste of your cocktail.

For tequila I love 1800 Silver . . . it depends on your personal preference, but this tequila is a favorite of mine. It’s made from 100% Weber blue agave, and I feel it goes really well with the blue curacao.

Measure Precisely

Invest in a jigger or measuring tools to ensure accurate proportions. Consistency in measurements is key to achieving a balanced flavor profile.

Chill Your Glassware

Pre-chill your glassware in the freezer or fill them with ice while preparing the cocktail to keep your drinks cold and refreshing.

Taste as You Go

Don’t be afraid to taste your cocktail-in-progress. Adjust ingredients if needed to achieve the desired flavor. I mean you don’t need to be told to do this . . . right?

Are you ready to learn how to make this margarita? Here’s what you’re going to need.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz quality tequila
  • 1 oz Blue Curaçao liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 T margarita salt
  • 1/2 T granulated sugar
  • 3 – 4 fresh blueberries
  • Lime wedge
  • 2 ice cubes

The blueberries are really just a fancy touch more so than a drink flavor. They compliment the curacao and the color of the beverage, but they aren’t a must have.

Serve in a glass of your choice. You can go regular margarita glass or do something a little fancier (hello, martini).
