Orange & Grey Coconut Cocktail with Kinky Gold

I’m about to tell you two things about me that most people don’t know (unless you know me in person): 1) I hate the heat (particularly humidity) and 2) I don’t like coconut.

There are no exceptions to the first rule, however, there is one exception to the second – I like a tasty coconut cocktail.

For whatever reason, coconut is quite refreshing to me on a hot day. And now you see how the two connect, right?

When the weather gets warm, I’m looking for a delicious coconut flavored cocktail to keep me cool and keep my spirits up! This grey and orange coconut cocktail is that very drink.

This delicious summer cocktail recipe gives you a chance to try some of your favorite liquors (mine is Grey Goose vodka) and flavors all together in one drink.

So while you are sitting by the pool this summer, make sure that you have a book in one hand and one of these bad boys in the other.

Tips for Making Delicious Cocktails

Making great cocktails is an art that combines creativity, technique, and attention to detail. Here are some tips to help you craft exceptional drinks.

Start with Quality Ingredients

Use high-quality spirits and fresh juices. The quality of your ingredients greatly influences the final taste of your cocktail.

Measure Precisely

Invest in a jigger or measuring tools to ensure accurate proportions. Consistency in measurements is key to achieving a balanced flavor profile.

Chill Your Glassware

Pre-chill your glassware in the freezer or fill them with ice while preparing the cocktail to keep your drinks cold and refreshing.

Taste as You Go

Don’t be afraid to taste your cocktail-in-progress. Adjust ingredients if needed to achieve the desired flavor. I mean you don’t need to be told to do this . . . right?

Remember that making cocktails is both a science and an art, so don’t be afraid to get creative and have fun with your creations. Over time, you’ll develop your own signature cocktails and techniques!

Here’s what you’re going to need to make this coconut cocktail with vodka.

Coconut vodka drink recipe in a glass with orange rind

After I made this beverage I realized you could probably substitute coconut vodka (Smirnoff and Ciroc have good ones) for the Grey Goose and coconut juice, saving yourself from having to buy the juice separately.

But I will leave that up to you!
