Out-of-This-World Rocket Party Favors for Any Celebration
Funny DIY rocket party favors made from recycled tubes — easy, cheap, and perfect for birthdays, 4th of July, or superhero parties.
Skills Required: Beginner. Even if you’ve never crafted before, these are pretty easy to make!

Buckle up, party captain! It’s time to launch some rocket party favors that’ll knock your guests’ socks off (and maybe even their moon boots).
Not only are these rockets adorable and candy-stuffed, but they’re also made from recycled toilet paper tubes. Because nothing says “fancy” quite like trash you’ve glamorized, right?
Whether you’re throwing a 4th of July shindig, a space-themed birthday, or a superhero soirée, these little rockets are guaranteed to wow.
Guests will get a kick out of pulling the tail and watching candy tumble out . . . and you’ll get to bask in the glory of having pulled them off with nothing but a glue gun and some scrap paper.
They’re cheap, cheerful, and easy enough for the kids to help with (and maybe even do better than you — no judgment). So grab your tubes, put on your craftiest grin, and let’s make rocket party favors that are truly out of this world!

Rocket Party Favors
Equipment
- Pencil(s)
Materials
- 3 Toilet paper tube(s)
- Rocket top template
- Scrapbook paper
- Cardstock red and blue
- Tissue paper
- Baker’s twine
- Double stick tape
- Glue Dots optional
Instructions
- Place the scrapbook paper face down on your work surface. Measure the tubes and mark the cuts on each end with a pencil.
- Draw straight lines through both pencil marks; this is so the square you will cut will be even and fit around your tube exactly.
- Cut the scrapbook paper to fit the toilet paper tube using your scissors. I recommend using a variety of paper patterns just to make them fun!
- Place a line of double stick tape or a tape runner down your cardboard tube. I noticed that all TP tubes are not created equally; the tape runner worked best on mine.
- Wrap the paper around the tube and secure with more adhesive or tape.
- Cut a piece of tissue paper to fit inside the base of the cardboard tube. Use double stick tape or glue dots to secure the tissue paper.
- Use baker’s twine to secure the tail. Tie a bow. Cut fringe in the tissue paper.
- Use the template included to cut the rocket topper.
- Fold the rocket topper and hot glue. Insert the candy into the cardboard tube and hot glue the topper to the top of the tube.
