Make no-sew felt mushrooms with just glue and felt! A quick, whimsical craft for kids and adults—perfect for ornaments, decor, and fairy play.

If your heart skips a beat for cozy woodland vibes, these DIY felt mushrooms are going to send you into full fairy-core bliss. They’re charming, storybook-sweet, and unlike most of the felt mushrooms out there—they don’t require a single stitch. That’s right.

No sewing, no poly-fil stuffing, no lost needles in the carpet. Just felt, glue, and your hands. Honestly? It’s kind of a crafting miracle.

While a lot of felt mushroom tutorials lean into sewing patterns and fiber fill, this version keeps things super approachable for beginners and kid-friendly for family crafting sessions.

You’ll roll up a stem, dot the cap with cute little spots, and glue it all together faster than you can say “fungi with flair.”

felt mushrooms that kids can make

Whether you’re five or fifty-five, these little cuties are satisfying to make and totally addictive. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you.)

They’re also super versatile. Want to turn them into ornaments? Just hot glue a little loop of string or twine to the top of the cap before attaching it to the stem, and boom—mushroom magic for your Christmas tree, rearview mirror, or woodland nursery.

You can scatter them on a table, tuck them into a fairy garden, or string them into a garland. They’re also an absolute win for craft fairs or party favors.

So grab your red and white felt—it’s time to whip up a whimsical forest full of these no-sew mushrooms. They’re fast, fun, and frankly… you’re going to want to make a dozen.
