Follow this easy tutorial to make a glitter ring dish – get your favorite baubles organized and make your life easier and cuter!
Skills Required: None. Even if you’ve never crafted before, you can do this easy craft project. You’ll be attaching glitter confetti to a dish with Mod Podge.
Until recently, all of my jewelry lived in one drawer that gave me nightmares when I had to go looking for something pretty to wear. A drawer is not the best place to try to find your pretty pieces.
I decided it was time to make a place for my special and sentimental jewelry to live that would make it easier to access since I wear it more frequently. I’ve made jewelry organizers before, but I wanted something smaller for my bedside table and the jewelry that I wear the most often.
I had the idea for a simple glitter ring dish, and I made multiples – they have been the perfect solution to my organization problems. This project couldn’t be easier, and I love these cute little holders!
It’s not like you’ll just use these for rings. You can use them for anything. I like to keep earrings in one of these dishes as well. So that I can grab them quite quickly in the morning.
DIY Ring Holder
You can make this ring dish in a few easy steps. You’re going to clean the dishes, then apply Mod Podge. Then you’ll sprinkle glitter on top. It’s that easy!
Gather These Supplies
- Small Ceramic Dishes (you can find them here)
- Mod Podge (Matte or Gloss is fine – Gloss will dull the glitter less)
- Confetti Glitter
- Sponge Brush
Clean the Dishes
Before you begin, you’ll want to clean the dishes you’re going to use with mild soap and water. Let dry. You can also use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. Either way, you’re just removing the fingerprints so the Podge sticks better.
Apply the Mod Podge
Step 1: Apply a coat of Mod Podge on the dish using a sponge brush. You’ll just need a thin layer.
Sprinkle the Confetti
Step 2: Sprinkle your confetti on the dish while the Mod Podge is still wet. Let dry so the confetti doesn’t move in the next step.
Apply a Top Coat
Step 3: Apply a top coat of Mod Podge. Let dry.
Aren’t they darling?! And think of all the different jewelry holder designs you could have with all the confetti glitters in the world! So fun. These also make cute gifts.
I think these glitter ring dishes would look pretty fabulous with some multi-colored glitter, too. It really depends on if you have a bit more of a wild personality. It depends on my mood, personally!
