Roarrr! This Handprint Lion Craft Is a Jungle Hit
Make this adorable handprint lion craft with just paper and glue—no paint, no mess! Perfect for jungle themes, keepsakes, or Father’s Day fun.

ROAR! If you’ve got a wild little cub at home who loves animals, this handprint lion craft is about to become a favorite. It’s bright, bold, and full of big cat personality—made with nothing more than some colorful paper, glue, and one very cooperative hand.
And let’s be honest: turning your kid’s handprint into a lion’s mane? Absolute genius. It’s adorable and it totally works.
Unlike some animal crafts that require paint, mess, or a printer running low on ink (ahem, every time), this one keeps it clean and simple. No paint = no stained fingers, no cleanup tantrums, and no post-craft scrubbing session. Just trace, cut, glue, and draw.

You’ll be done before snack time – and possibly making a whole pride of lions.
Paper tips? Yes please! Go for standard construction paper or medium-weight cardstock for best results.
Construction paper gives you that classic texture and color variety (plus it’s easier for little scissors to cut), while cardstock makes your lion a little sturdier – perfect if you’re planning to hang it up or save it in a memory book. Mix and match for mane magic!
Want to turn it into a keepsake? This lion isn’t just king of the jungle – perfect for Father’s Day, birthdays, or “just because” crafts. Add a note like “You’re the king of my heart!” or “I’m not LION—I love you!” and you’ve got a fridge-worthy moment that’ll make any grown-up smile.

So break out the yellow and orange paper, cue up your best jungle sound effects, and get ready to craft a lion that’s equal parts cute and fierce. This handprint animal project is roaring with charm!
