A dining table can look like a big blank spot in your dining room. This is an opportunity to show off your design personality and add some table decorations!
If you don’t have the time or energy to switch up your decorations as the seasons and holidays change, you should definitely decorate your dining room table with items that will look great at any time of year.
Dining Table Decorations
If you like the look of complete place settings on your table, this is a route you could go. On the other hand, there is no need to have it set for a dinner party if you don’t have one coming up. Add a few of the following decorations to your table and it can look beautiful:
- Linens: A tablecloth, table runner, placemats, or napkins can add color and texture.
- Garlands: Great for running down the middle of the table or wrapping around items (like our wood bead garland).
- Centerpiece: An arrangement of flowers and or branches can add height and color.
- Use faux flowers or succulents so you don’t need to change them up.
- Think about the container: do you want a vase, planter box, mason jars, or even wine bottles? Will it be wood, glass, ceramic, or maybe a basket?
- Large bowls, platters or trays can make multiple centerpiece items look more cohesive.
- Candles: Candlesticks, pillar candles, votives, and hurricanes can add light and various levels of height.
Of course, I recommend that you DIY some or all of these items so you get exactly what you are looking for and save money. I’ve gathered some great ideas you may want to try. Scroll down now to get some inspiration!
